Yes. He is real. We know God is real for three reasons:
-
His creation
-
History (as recorded in the Bible)
-
Jesus Christ
Creation is a witness to God and His character (Romans 1:18-20, 2:14-15). Just look around you. There must be a Creator. Even science agrees. It’s statistically impossible that our world was formed by random chance. The idea that DNA accidentally came together to make us is about as reasonable as saying all the creative technology it takes to design a smartphone was a fluke of nature. Our complex bodies alone demonstrate a clear expression of a Creator’s intelligence and purpose.
God is that Creator. He’s the source of all life and everything that exists. He sustains the universe. He exists in
Not only could our intricately designed world not have happened by chance, there’s also this deep sense of eternity in the hearts of us all – believers or not (Ecclesiastes 3:11). Through the centuries, humanity has created ways to worship and an understanding of right and wrong. This tendency points to a Supreme Being who made us “in His own image” (Genesis 1:27).
We also know God is real because of the Bible. This book, written thousands of years ago, doesn’t seek to prove He exists. It assumes this as a self-evident fact (see Genesis 1:1; Exodus 3:14). The life-changing nature of the Bible points to this truth.
Because of Jesus Christ, the ultimate revelation, we know God is real. His birth, life, death, and resurrection fulfilled
Denying God’s existence takes a great deal more faith than believing in Him. Faith that God is real just makes sense.
