There’s a new indie film hitting theaters this weekend that caught my eye. It’s called Small Group.
According to a recent news release, “the inspirational film takes audiences on a humorous, and surprisingly heart-felt, journey of a married couple who infiltrate a church small group that results in unexpected and life-changing events. The film challenges audiences to consider their own personal perspectives on faith, fellowship and community … and what purpose they serve in today’s culture.”
Watch the movie trailer for Small Group:
“The idea for the movie came from my personal experience in a small group,” says writer/director Matt Chastain (who also acts in the film). “Small groups help us stay humble, honest and accountable. For me, this creates a rich and limitless environment for storytelling.”
Interesting idea for a movie, for sure.
