This is the most important question you can ask.
We are all ungodly (Romans 3:23, Psalm 51:5) and have chosen to sin (Ecclesiastes 7:20; 1 John 1:8). Because of that, we are separated from God and need redemption to reconnect with Him.
To be ‘saved’, you have to acknowledge your sin and believe that Jesus, through his death and resurrection, is your way back to God.
First, turn away from everything that’s contrary to God (Acts 3:19).
Second, recognize that Jesus died on the cross for you. Because God is eternal and sin separates us from Him (Romans 6:23, Psalm 51:4). The Bible says that we need to be ‘saved’ from this eternal death (Matthew 25:46; Revelation 20:15).
Because God loves us, He became a man in the form of Jesus and willingly sacrificed himself in our place. Jesus’ death was the payment for our sin (1 John 2:2).
Repent and accept Jesus as your Savior (Romans 5:9-10, Titus 2:14).
“If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
Third, surrender your life to him completely.
“Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved.” (Acts 16:31)
Those who receive Him are given the power to become His children (John 1:12). When you receive Him, your life will change for the better.
Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die.” (John 11:25)
