Whether you have been on your Christian journey for 40 years or 4 weeks, you will have experienced a variety of highs and hurdles. The highs may be a camp experience, the birth of a grandchild, or even the divine connection you have on a Sunday morning with God’s people in church. The hurdle may be the loss of a loved one, some bad news from a doctor, or even a tough day on the job. Whatever the scenario may be we have a constant God. There is a third scenario that you may experience that we like to call “The Middle”.
The Middle can be the hardest part of the journey. You may have heard God’s voice bring you a vision or a calling or even a simple instruction for forward progress, and it just doesn’t seem to come to fruition. These are the moments that shape our faith.
God’s timing is not our timing. His ways are not our ways. When things seem to not make sense to us, they may make perfect sense to God. An omniscient being sees the whole story unlike our finite minds that can only see in part.
So, what do you do with that? The best response when waiting on God is to remember His promise in worship. God is not only aware of the chapter of life you are in, He’s writing the book! In those moments of waiting, we can rest in the fact that God is crafting a beautiful narrative for our lives to bring Him glory.
“He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.” – Ecclesiastes 3:11
We pray that today your spirit is refreshed with a hope for tomorrow. Wherever you are in the journey, God is still promising to bring breakthrough. He will never leave you in the ruins you may currently be in. He is promising that greater things are coming in your life.
